Great Experience for my birthday. The happy hour specials were great and thier regular menu was fantastic. The food came out super fast and the presentation was awesome. Definitely going back.

We had an unforgettable experience at Yosake in Wilmington NC. From the moment we walked in, the energy was buzzing and the vibe was just right. Special shoutout to the two amazing girls behind the bar—they were not only incredibly friendly but also knew their stuff when it came to the menu and cocktails. Their service truly elevated the night. We started with the chicken lemongrass dumplings and the rangoons—both were absolute flavor bombs and beautifully presented. For the main course, I can’t recommend the Spicy Generoll enough. It’s bold, perfectly balanced, and hands down one of the best I’ve had. If you’re in Wilmington and looking for top notch Sushi and Asian dishes, an upbeat atmosphere, and standout service, Yosake should be at the top of your list.

Eat here. Let me just say that Yosake is a cool place to eat. They have an elevator, and it will get you there, but the treacherous stairwell leading to the restaurant is all part of the experience. The Sushi is well presented, fresh and rolled by people who are clearly very skilled. The chefs definitely know what they are doing, a requisite I am told. That being said Sake is on the menu and very good. I have eaten here many times and never left regretting the decision. They can be very busy at times. Be prepared to question your decision in putting your name on the list should the occasion occur that it will be required. This reviewer assures the prospect that if you but just wait it out you will receive a dining experience that will not disappoint. I have never personally, nor have I been a party to any individual or group that has left disappointed at the end of the evening when Yosake was involved and so you should expect similar results. Found our favorite sushi place in town! The place is amazing, from the food to the service to the vibe. The happy hour menu is a steal. The firecracker shrimp app is perfectly crispy. All of the rolls we had were unique with lots of flavor. The cocktails were delicious. We'll keep coming back for our sushi fix.

This was our 1st time here. I was able to reserve a table online the day before. The food was delicious and the prices were reasonable. We ordered the Sushi for Me, the brussel sprouts. Yummy!! Loved the atmosphere, our waitress was very kind & the bathroom was clean.

Amazing service and environment! I had a birthday celebration for one of my friends and our waiter Riley was the sweetest! I loved it Also, coming in at happy hour was so worth it! The food was delicious and I could tell that the staff really cared and wanted to provide above and beyond service. The friendly face, at the host stand Kaeli sat us and getting a reservation was too easy! Will be back!!

My first time dining here. Service was Great. I sat at the sushi bar and the executive chef Scott was absolutely amazing. His knowledge and descriptions of everything available was impeccable. Scott was friendly and even though he was super busy with other customers, he made time to describe everything and answer any questions I had with great detail. I've eaten at many sushi restaurants across the country and I am highly impressed. Atmosphere was perfect and our waitress was very attentive. I will be back. Absolutely phenomenal experience at Yosake Downtown Sushi Lounge! From start to finish, my evening here was nothing short of exceptional. They were phenomenal—warm, engaging, and incredibly professional. Not only did they craft perfectly balanced drinks, but they also maintained an atmosphere of genuine hospitality. Their meticulous attention to detail, cleanliness, and the pride they take in their work was obvious and so refreshing to see. Everything behind the bar was spotless, organized, and handled with care. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, Yosake is an absolute must-visit. I can’t wait to come back!
